ENGLISH CONVERSATION & GRAMMAR

English for the conversations you actually want to have.

For adults and teens, speaking practice starts with your interests, work, studies, and everyday situations. We then focus on the grammar and language that help you express your ideas clearly.

Every lesson starts with you

I create most lesson materials myself and use textbook resources when they genuinely help. Your one-to-one lesson is planned for your level, interests, and goals, then adjusted as I hear how you use English. We can work on conversation, vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, or a combination that makes sense for you.

These are examples of the kinds of conversations we might build a lesson around, not fixed scripts or accounts of particular students.

INSIDE A ONE-TO-ONE LESSON

Language you can use beyond the lesson

These short teacher-created demonstrations show how a topic becomes a speaking task. Your own lesson would use your experience and your goals.

PRESENTATION PRACTICE

If the team had spotted the warning earlier, we would be responding differently now.

Connect an earlier decision to today’s risk.

Business English

Presenting cybersecurity clearly

“How would you explain this risk to a team that does not work in security?”

We might organize a short presentation, explain a technical risk to a mixed audience, then rehearse questions. A mixed conditional can help connect an earlier decision to a present consequence without turning the whole lesson into a grammar drill.

CONVERSATION PROMPT

“I moved the seedlings because the balcony gets more morning light.”

Explain a choice, then ask your friend about theirs.

Everyday conversation

Talking about a gardening project

“What are you growing, and what have you changed since you started?”

A real interest gives us something worth discussing. We can build the words needed to describe a project, tell its story, and share it naturally with a friend.

INTERVIEW PRACTICE

Situation action result

Give a concrete example; prepare for one follow-up question.

Interview preparation

Answering with clarity and confidence

“Tell me about a challenge you solved. What did you do, and what changed?”

We can rehearse likely questions, shape answers around your own experience, and practice follow-up questions so the conversation feels less scripted.

Grammar in service of communication

When a pattern keeps getting in your way, we slow down and work on it directly. Then we bring it back into conversation, so you can use it beyond an exercise. Lessons can be as structured or as discussion-led as your goals require.
